This is the 24th year the Minotaur has been published.
The Minotaur is a member of Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA), National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA), Southern Interscholastic Press Association (SIPA), and Florida Scholastic Press Association (FSPA), and has been awarded Gold Medalist by CSPA for its previous editions.
The staff consists of 36 students, specialized into leadership, staffers/writers and photographers. All take yearbook as an advanced class during 4th period. The staff focuses on national standards for scholastic journalism and continuous improvement through staff development at workshops locally and as far away as Anaheim.
The yearbook operates on its own $90,000 budget, bringing in revenue from book sales, senior dedications and business ad sales. Its operation is self-sufficient and not funded by the school. Our book is 328 pages all-color and prints 1,000 copies.
