The freshmen weren’t the only newbies to the school. In addition to the returning teachers, 14 new teachers joined the school faculty.
Ms. Carissa Nola, Ms. Candice Teague, Coach Joe Willis, Ms. Peggy Farrell, Ms. Krystal Jenkins, Coach John Booth, Mr. Tavaris Davis, Coach Eric West, Mr. Archie Harmon, Coach Danielle Leffler, Ms. Belinda Kramer, Ms. Honihan, Ms. Kim Bearison and Ms. Tammy Modica were the new faculty members. On the first day to a new school, student’s nerves were pretty high, but the new teachers were relaxed.
“No, [I'm] not nervous, but excited,” said Ms. Teague, a new English teacher from Texas who was also the cheerleading coach.
The same thing pertained to Ms. Farrell, an English teacher who transferred from Newsome High School. “Bloomingdale is much closer to my home. It feels like home, my son graduated from here,” Ms. Farrell said.
Both teachers agreed that Bloomingdale exceeded their expectations, and all of the teachers got off to a great start.
